Matt Kaiser to Speak on Parallel Administrative and Criminal Proceedings at the 2019 International Bar Association Conference

On September 25th, KaiserDillon partner Matt Kaiser will co-chair a session at the International Bar Association’s Annual Conference in Seoul, South Korea titled “Double jeopardy: the relationship between administrative processes and criminal proceedings”.

The panel – comprised of global experts on the topic – will discuss the law, practice, and strategy of representing clients who are involved in both regulatory or administrative proceedings and are also meaningfully concerned about a criminal prosecution. Lawyers from Korea, Hong Kong, France, Italy, and Brazil will also explain how their jurisdictions handle parallel proceedings, as well as the unique challenges of transnational parallel investigations.

As an American lawyer with unique insight into legal ethics and government investigations, Matt Kaiser is positioned to provide and instigate meaningful discourse through the panel’s timely discussion.
