Matt Kaiser Teaches a DC Bar CLE on “Ethics and Criminal Defense”
KaiserDillon partner Matt Kaiser taught other lawyers in the District of Columbia about their ethical obligations when representing people under investigation for, or accused of, criminal conduct.
Attendees learned about unique issues in representing someone in a criminal case. Topics included fee agreements in criminal cases, representing multiple people in the same investigation, withdrawing from a representation, what to do if a lawyer receives something illegal from a client, and what a lawyer’s obligations are if he or she faces a claim of ineffective assistance of counsel.
The course was offered on December 19 both live and via webinar.
