Bill Pittard Moderates Panel on “Preparing Clients to Testify” at National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Conference
Partner William Pittard recently moderated a panel at the annual West Coast Conference of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in Santa Monica, CA. The panel, entitled “Preparing Your Client to Testify,” offered advice on best practices for achieving just resolutions for clients. Participants of the panel learned best practices for effectively responding to questioning in a host of circumstances, from a grand jury appearance, to testimony before the Securities and Exchange Commission or other regulatory bodies, to congressional testimony, to direct and cross examination at trial. Bill’s litigation, congressional investigation, and criminal defense experience informed his thoughts on the panel, as he often prepares his clients for testimony.
