Bill Pittard Joins Other Former General Counsels of the U.S. House of Representatives in Filing Brief as Amici Curiae.

Partner Bill Pittard, who served as Acting General Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2016 under Speaker Paul D. Ryan, has joined other former General Counsels in a brief of Amici Curiae. The brief, filed on May 6th, supports the legal standing of the House of Representatives to challenge the Trump Administration’s planned expenditure of federal funds on a border wall beyond those funds appropriated by Congress.

Bill Pittard and the other former General Counsels on the brief account for more than four full decades of service as General Counsels for the House, under both Republican and Democratic Speakers (covering each year between 1976-2016).
